At the child (2 years 3 months) have very strongly increased lymphonoduses on a neck (about a walnut). The temperature up to 39 degrees One week ago rose, to evening of next day of temperature any more was not and was small jazvochka on a labium (herpes?). More no attributes of disease existing, the pediatrist has diagnosed ORVI. And now the doctor diagnoses a lymphadenitis and has written out antibiotics (amoksiklav), but assumes, that there can be a mononucleosis (it is necessary to hand over the analysis of a blood). What is this disease? And if it will prove to be true, whether it is necessary to accept now up to result of the analysis antibiotics and to do or make any warming compresses? Please, tell a little, very much I worry!

Dear Olga! First of all I warn you: at all do not heat the increased lymphonoduses!!! And in general, do not undertake any methods of treatment up to results of analyses. The lymphadenitis (the preliminary diagnosis of your pediatrist), indoubtedly demands adequate therapy, but vse-taki not having made sure in correctness of this diagnosis, it is impossible to pick up and treatment. Therefore do not refuse analyses, and try to hand over them as soon as possible. But an antibioticotherapia all to begin after reception of results is better. And necessarily visit or attend the children's oncologist and the immunologist. The prompt convalescence!
