Svetlana, a cholesteatoma is an inflammatory process which quite often accompanies with a chronic average purulent otitis. Sometimes it or her name a pearl tumour as at a lavage of a middle ear flakes serebristo-pearl color therefrom are washed away. It is considered to be the reason of development of a cholesteatoma a pathogenic microflora being on the average an ear. The name of disease specifies, that at the given pathology the exchange of a cholesterin is broken. Last is postponed in a matrix, an environment of a cholesteatoma which fastens to a bone. The cholesterin destroys or blasts structure or frame of an osteal tissue and fills the released or exempted place. As a result there are destroyed all acoustical ossicles or bonelets. It is natural, that thus the hearing rather essentially suffers. Besides the cholesteatoma destroys or blasts walls of a drum-type cavity which border on a cavity of a skull. It, in turn, is fraught with development of intracranial complications.
