If you mean an arterial hypertonia (and can be also pulmonary, intracranial hypertonias, etc.) the main sign and display of disease is rising pressure of a blood. Complications of a hypertonia can be a cerebral insult, an infarct, an intimate or a cardiac and renal failure.
